Hello Everyone,
My boyfriend Matt Pickard is battling Lyme Disease as well as several co-infections including Babesia. This disease is incredibly isolating and Matt has been unable to work for over a year now due to an array of Lyme symptoms such as chronic pain, joint swelling/stiffness, migraines, nausea, chest pain, heart palpitations, chronic fatigue, and cognitive impairment.
Yesterday we went to the emergency room because Matt was having pain in his chest as well as deep stomach and back pain. After being on a heavy dose of antibiotics for over a year, we are concerned about the health of his organs and are seeking out alternative treatment options that will fight the infection and help his body detox without putting so much stress on his liver and other organs. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and treatments with a Rife Machine are some of the options we are trying to gain access to.
We are living in Tucson, but Matt has been seeing Dr. Ralph Golan in Seattle who has had much success in treating Lyme Disease with an approach that integrates both western and alternative medicine. We are grateful to have found such a wonderful doctor who was able to give Matt a clear diagnosis and start him on the road to recovery. We are trying to keep in regular contact with Dr. Golan which includes flying Matt up to Seattle for monthly appointments. Matt is in the middle of a battle, and everything put into his body is playing a critical role in his healing and longevity.
Matt does not have health insurance that will cover Dr. visits with a Lyme specialist or alternative treatment modalities. We have maxed out our credit cards to pay for doctor appointments, routine lab work, and medication and supplements.
I believe that Matt can heal. But I know that he can't do it alone. Please send Matt your prayers and if you can help by either donating money or passing this message on to your friends and families we would be so grateful.
