European Trip

My name is Jessica Dube and I am 16 years old. I will be going on a People to People trip in the summer of 2014; my departure date is June 22, to be exact. The trip through the People to People Student Ambassador Program will be 20 days long and go to England, France, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. Even with all my fundraising efforts so far (such as yard sales of donated items, babysitting, housecleaning, etc.), I've only raised about 1/3 of the money necessary for my trip. Some of the highlights of my trip include going to the Tower of London, the Louvre Museum, the Eiffle Tower, and Normandy Beach. I will be staying for three days with a German family, and doing a service project in the Black Forest in Germany, in a city just 45 minutes from the place where my five-times-great grandmother was born. I will be biking through the Netherlands, and going on a hike in the Swiss Alps.


I believe that this is the opportunity of a lifetime, considering that my life's goal is to travel the world.
