5th Grade Overnight at Zoo Tech

For the first time ever, the Fifth Graders at our Title One Elementary School, Parkside, are being offerred the opporuntiy to participate in Zoo Tech, a curriculum based overnight at Zoo Atlanta in November. 

As a Title One school, many of our students come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and the cost of this overnight would normally be cost prohibitive. Our hope is to make this an annual tradition where the 5th grade class helps raise the funds to ensure that every student can participate, but this year we only were able to confirm that this special experience is a possibility less than a month before the overnight and, therefore, the class will not have time to raise the funds to ensure that every student can participate before the upcoming overnight. Therefore, we are asking our community to help make this a reality for our deserving 5th graders.
