It's certainly a Christmas miracle! Ingrid was discharged from the hospital on Sunday afternoon and will be spending Christmas at home with the family! She is resting and getting stronger each day. Thank you all so much for the continued prayers and well wishes. I know that's what got Ingrid through this difficult time. She's a strong and very determined woman and I'm confident she'll be back up and running in no time!
Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!
The Bergquist & Pratt Family
And the news just keeps on getting better! Ingrid was moved out of the ICU yesterday with the possibility of coming home just in time for Christmas! My family and I cannot express how thankful we are for all the positive thoughts and prayers you've sent Ingrid's way!
All of your prayers and well wishes are working! My family and I are happy to finally post some positive news about Ingrid! The doctors removed her breathing tube and she's awake! She's still pretty out of it but she's talking. Ingrid is shocked that she has been in the ICU for 10 days. We've been reading to Ingrid all the loving notes you've written to her and I cannot begin to describe how her face lit up to each of them. She loves you all very much!
Thank you again for all the well wishes. Ingrid still has a long way to go so if you can, please send a prayer or two her way.
Thank you again for all the well wishes you've been sending to Ingrid this week.
Ingrid is very slowly beginning to make some progress. It's taking her much longer than usual to wake up from being sedated and the doctor feels that it's because of the severe carbon monoxide poisoning she had. They believe that her body is still filtering it all out. She has a fever today and the pneumonia is still lingering. My mother has been reading Ingrid all of your loving notes left of this page as well as Facebook and she's responding with smiles. I really feel that all of your notes, thoughts and prayers are giving Ingrid the strength to get better.
We have greatly exceeded our goal for Ingrid, thank you to everyone for making this happen! If you would still like to make a donation, we will be accepting them until midnight. I will still continue to update this page with Ingrid's progress, so please keep checking back!
My family and I want to sincerely thank each and every one of you for your generous donations to Ingrid. In just 4 days, we hit our goal of $10,000! Ingrid has such an amazing circle of friends and family that love her.
Today marks day 5 in the ICU for Ingrid. Her condition has not changed much since my update yesterday. The doctors and nurses are doing an amazing job at getting Ingrid better and I am praying that soon I'll be able to post an update with better news. Please continue your thoughts and prayers for Ingrid!
Even though we hit our goal for Ingrid, we are going to keep this fund open to accept additional donations to help put toward Ingrid's growing medical expenses. Please consider sharing this update with your family and friends.
I am reaching out this afternoon to update you on Ingrid as well as ask for you all to please pray for her tonight.
Ingrid is currently suffering from a bad case of pneumonia and having difficulty breathing on her own. The doctor's have her set up with a breathing tube and she will be sedated for at least a couple days so that her body can rest and heal.
Due to her condition, the doctors have asked that only family visit for the time being. I know so many of you have made it out to the hospital to see her this week and we want to thank you for doing that. I will update you all and let you know when visiting is encouraged again.
Thank you all so much for all the thoughts and prayers. Ingrid really needs them right now!
Wow! I am still so amazed by how quickly you ALL have come together to help Ingrid through this difficult time! We might reach 75% of our goal today!!
Ingrid has had a tough past couple of days. Completely unrelated to her injuries from the fire, the doctors found that she has an infected gallbladder, which they are treating. She is on the road to recovery and we're hoping that soon she will be moved out of the ICU. Ingrid has expressed so much thanks and appreciation to everyone for your thoughts, prayers, generosity & love.
Thank you all so much for continuing to get the word out about this Fund for Ingrid! I feel confident that we will hit 75% of our goal today because of your assistance.
My family and I are so excited to share that we've officially hit 50% of our goal in just a day and a half of posting this benefit fund site for Ingrid! What an amazing feeling that is! We cannot thank you enough for ALL of your dedication and hard work getting the word out!
As of this evening, Ingrid is still in the ICU. The amazing nurses and doctors at Danbury Hospital want to keep her a little bit longer because of the fever she had earlier in the day. I personally think they just want to keep her because she's such a character to have around though"¦ :-) Please keep those prayers coming!
Many of you have so kindly reached about donating clothing, shoes, and everyday necessities to Ingrid. THANK YOU!!! The Pizza Palace in Newtown, where Ingrid works has graciously offered to be the "drop off place" for those donations. If you have questions about Ingrid's sizes, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I'll get back to you ASAP.
I wanted to provide a quick update to all on my aunt Ingrid. My mother spoke with Ingrid's nurse this morning. She will be unfortunately spending another day in the ICU. She has a slight fever and her breathing is bothering her. Please continue your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you to everyone that has donated and shared this site with friends and family! In less than 24 hours we've raised almost half of our goal! Let's keep the momentum going!!
Thank you SO much to those who donated to Ingrid today! Your thoughts, prayers and generosity have been truly breathtaking! Ingrid is so thankful to have so many amazing people in her life that care for her.
We were hoping that Ingrid would be discharged from the ICU today, but the doctors want to keep an eye on her a little longer. Please continue to keep Ingrid in your thoughts & prayers!
Please consider sharing this page with friends and family. Any donation that can be made will help Ingrid rebuild her life again.
Early Sunday morning, Ingrid was involved in a very serious and devastating house fire. With the amazing effort and very quick response from Newtown Police and Fire Department, Ingrid was rescued. She is currently at Danbury Hospital recovering from very serious smoke inhalation and carbon monoxide poisoning. We are all so thankful that she will make a full recovery!
We do however fear that she has lost most everything in that fire. So many of Ingrid's family and friends have reached out asking for a way to donate or help Ingrid during this very difficult time.
We have set up this fund for Ingrid to help get her back up on her feet as soon as possible.
Thank you all so much for your continued love and support. God Bless!
