Contributions are being accepted in memory of James C. Borden, October 14, 1928 - December 1, 2013, an extraordinary life-long artist and all-around good man whose quiet charm touched many.
Contributions will be used to establish a fund to support the James C. Borden Art Award which will be given annually to a graduating senior from John Adams High School in South Bend, Indiana who demonstrates love and talent in the visual arts. Mr. Borden graduated from JAHS in 1947. He was a sought after teacher for decades at the South Bend Museum of Art, led a drawing group at his retirement residence and never stopped learning himself.
Supporting the education of future artists is a fitting tribute to this humble man.
