Service trip to Nassau, Bahamas

Donation protected
In exactly one week, I will be embarging on my second international service trip. This December, 4 graduate students from the Communication Sciences and Disorders Department will be accompanying Dr. Shameka Johnson, founder of TECHnically Speaking to Nassau, Bahamas for 7 days. We will be providing hearing, speech and language screenings to families in the Bahamas. Futhermore, we are scheduled to provide a 2-hour in-service workshop for parents to inform them about communication disorders, autism, red flags and gives them free/low-cost take-away's and activities they can take and employ at home.

You can read more about Dr. Johnson's work in her article for the ASHA Leader: http://www.asha.org/Publications/leader/2013/131101/Direct-Line-to-the-Tropics.htm. Although most costs have been covered for the trip, nightly dinners are not included. I am raising money to cover the costs for dinner for the 7 nights we will be there, which has been estimated at a little over $20 a night for a total of $150.
I am scheduled to leave on December 14th until December 21st. Any other details or questions about the trip, feel free to contact me at my personal email address.

Thank you in advanced for your support!
