As of January 7th, 2014, I am moving to Phuket, Thailand for two years to work with SHE Thailand. SHE stands for Self Help and Empowerment, and they are committed to bringing hope and life to the women trapped in the sex industry. I have the amazing opportunity to do PR for the ministry, which includes photography, blog writing, updating the website, sending out newsletters, etc. Along with this, I will be working in the red-light district with the women in the bars once or twice a week.
Although I will be considered staff, I will not be paid for my contributions to the ministry, so that is where you come in! I need a total of $14,000 to be completely funded for both years, but right now I am only fundraising to cover the first year. My goal is to have the first year covered by January 1st, 2014.
If you have a passion for seeing justice brought to the issue of human trafficking, have a heart for Thailand, or just really want to be involved in what God is doing in the nations, please donate. I am not able to do what I love and pursue my dream without YOU!
