Honey Badgers Adventures on the PCT 2014
Join me AKA Honey Badger this spring, as I embark on an epic 2650 mile journey thru hiking the Pacific Crest Trail. This spectacular trail spans the western United States from the Mexico border in San Diego, CA to the Canada border in Washington. Step by step this wondrous trail will reveal its magnificent beauty, from the lively desert floor to the glaciated mountain passes of the Sierra Nevada and the volcanic peaks in the Cascades that reach for the clouds. American naturalist and author John Muir once said, "Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn."

My goal is to share this adventure with each and everyone of you while also raising awareness and funds for veterans and their families who could use our support. Being an Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom veteran myself, I feel that it is important to give back to my fellow brothers and sisters who have given so much. So I will be raising funds for both the Fisher House Foundation and the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America. Help me raise $1.00 (a total of 2650) for every mile I walk for each of these foundations who do positive things for veterans and their families. Any donation is greatly appreciated and 70% of every donation will automatically go directly to the Fisher House Foundation and Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America. After all logistics (ie. food, shipping supplies forward on the trail, etc.) that make this amazing journey and opportunity to help others possible, any funds not used will also be given to both foundations.
