Off to Munich and on to Sochi tomorrow morning! I'm so excited for this opportunity and greatly appreciative for all the support from you all! Thank you for helping me get to this moment, you all share in my success!
Hey Family, Friends and Fans! I could hardly sleep last night I'm so excited! Many have asked if they can still donate to my cause, the answer is yes! If you are interested, here is my Go Fund Me page. Some have voiced concerns about the small percentage that Go Fund Me takes for processing fees. This is understandable, but please know that Greg Smith, one of the GoFundMe founders, has donated $1000. Hope this may alleviate your concerns. Thank you all! March 14th is race day, should be broadcast on NBC!
Hello all! I hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving! I'm extremely grateful for you all and the tremendous amount of support you have given me! I've been back in the states for about a week after a tough trip to the Netherlands for a Euro Cup and first World Cup of the season. I struggled with the course and the conditions and the competition was top notch. I'm honored to race with such talented athletes. I took 14th in the Euro Cup but raced much better the second day and finished 7th in the World Cup. There were nearly 30 other men, some of the best in the world competing. I learned a lot and have a renewed motivation and focus for my training. I expect much better results in the months to come leading up to Sochi. Thank you all again for your support!
Wow! Almost there!!! I'm so impressed and grateful for so much support!! I'm off to the Netherlands on Saturday for the first World Cup of the season! Been training hard in Colorado and feeling prepared!
Good morning friends and family!!! Happy Veterans' Day!!! I'm honored to be one and thankful to all those who have served our country in our armed forces. I had the pleasure of racing yesterday on the USMC Birthday, took two bronze medals, one in slalom and another in giant slalom, couldn't do it without the support of so many! Thank You!
After a road side bomb (IED) was detonated by the enemy beneath my vehicle while assigned to 3rd Battalion 6th Marines in Helmand Afghanistan as a Hospital Corpsman (combat medic), I nearly lost my legs below the knee. After three years of limb salvage and the help of a newly developed set of braces, I have achieved excellence in my sport, Boardercross. On a snowboard we race down a course littered with obstacles, banked turns and jumps. In January, I was nominated to the inaugural US National Para-Snowboard Team and am currently training and competing for a spot on the US Paralympic Team that will represent our country, the USA, in the 2014 Winter Paralympics in Sochi, Russia. Please help me achieve this dream! I cannot do it without your help. My injuries and commitment to training and competing make it overwhelmingly difficult to hold a regular job; the cost of this endeavor is significant. No donation is too small and all funds will be used to further myself in this discipline. Thank You!
