Wheelchair Cart for K9 Traci

K9 Traci is a retired Search and Rescue dog. She had multiple injuries contributing to her retirement at the age of 7. She is now 13 years old! Traci is severely overweight due to joint injuries making it difficult for her to ambulate and get exercise (along with thyroid disorder). Traci recently had an accident and severely fractured her tibia. She is now wearing an external fixator until her leg has healed. Due to her leg fracture Traci is unable to walk without the assistance of a sling to support her rear. A wheelchair, or K9 Cart, would improve her quality of life and allow her to exercise and potty with minimal assistance. She is full of life and stubborn! She doesnt realize she can't do what she WANTS to do! Please help Traci gain some independece and be able to enjoy walks in the sun once more! Her life has been spent in the service of others as a Search and Rescue dog and Therapy Dog visiting nursing homes and schools.

Traci's vet bills (for her leg surgery with the fixator) have totaled $3,000+ which have been placed on a payment plan and Care Credit Credit Card. I am unable to charge the wheelchair cart to the credit card. The chair will cost no less than $550...there may be additional shipping and attachments needed. The orthopedic vet agreed that a wheelchair would be appropriate for Traci and speed her healing as well as assist her overall after recovery.
