Hello, my name is Cynthia Wood, most people call me "Cindy"
and one most special person calls me "Momma".
I have Late Stage Chronic Lyme Disease.

Most people I talk to about Lyme Disease don't know much about it, except for that it is caused by a tick bite.
And, many folks are under the impression that Lyme Disease is not a serious illness as it is caused by such a tiny little bug and probably leads to nothing more than a rash.
Nothing could be farther from the truth.

Lyme Disease is a serious, debilitating infectious disease that can be fatal if left untreated. The longer one is infected, the greater the chance the infected person will develop other life threatening diseases and co-infections.
I have actively sought medical attention for my condition for over a decade and have gone misdiagnosed.

The degree of illness I experience has compounded severely in the last 2 years; so intensely I had to commit most of my time, energy and thousands of dollars in search of a correct diagnosis.
Finally, as of June 6th of this year, I received positive test results for Lyme. In great part, thanks to my wonderful Naturopath doctor, who was willing to follow my hunches and included testing for Lyme in addition to the battery of other tests she ordered.
Thank you, Dr. Emily Job!

It was evident to me that my health was in real danger as the symptoms clearly alerted me.
I was both relieved and frightened with the diagnosis at the time.
Now, I just focus on feeling empowered knowing I can do something to counteract the disease.

If you know me personally, you know that I am an optimistic person.
I exercise positivity and harness good energy through a number
of healthy practices I've come to rely on.
I also need MEDICATION, specifically long term intensive intravenous antibiotics.

Unfortunately, most insurance companies, including mine, do not cover the much needed treatments for Lyme Disease.
And of course, the treatments are costly.
Therefore, I, like the majority of Lyme patients, find myself reaching out for help.
I'm trying to.. well, I'm trying to extend my life.

The good news is, with time, patience and proactive medical attention, many patient's improve enough to extend and maintain life!
I would like to keep functioning well and be around a long time for my beautiful daughter.

I still have many good deeds to offer the world and I hope you are willing to offer what you can. I trust in the circle of life and hope your kindness will come back to you in WONDERFUL ways.

My fund goal is steep, but ONLY covers the cost of 4 weeks of treatment.

I have proof that once I receive the treatments I will be in a great place to maintain my health via less costly alternative therapies which are proven to help improve the health of Lyme patients after intensive treatment, much like that of cancer patients.
(I've done my research!)

But first, I need to give the Lyme bacteria and subsequent toxic mold in my body a good swift kick in the pants.
The sooner, the better!

I thank you for your time in reading about my need and I am truly and forever grateful for any consideration on your part!

THANK YOU & BIG LOVE TO ALL!

Sincerely Yours,
