Pregnant, Homeless Girl needs help
I am currently in a very tight spot. I am a 31yr old single female who was just dumped after a long-term 4.5yr relationship. I moved from Tulsa, Ok to Texas. 2 weeks later I found out I'm pregnant.
I do also have a dog, female solid black german shepherd who is very well mannered. She is my ESA. She wont get into trash, wont get food on the floor or on the counters. She doesnt get up on beds or couches even when left alone. She also gets along well with other dogs, cats, etc. So I am sure she would love some company.
I am just looking to find a place to settle down til I can get my feet under me. My best friend moved down with me saying that I would need more help than my ex would.
So it's just me, him, and my dog at the moment. We are quiet, keep to ourselves for the most part, clean up after ourselves, etc.
We are looking for a quick temporary fix but I plan to find a place of our own once the baby arrives with money we save up. I am a semi-professional dog trainer and sitter. We both are trying to find jobs and have a job offer working from home.
I'm looking into homeless shelters because 1.) In about a week, I'll have to leave the place I'm in as I am temporarily borrowing a room til the girl comes back from summer vacation . 2.) I've not heard back from my sister about a possible room she may have despite asking a couple times without sounding desperate or hounding. 3.) Without a permanent address I cannot apply for medicaid to get prenatal care. 4.) Without a stable address I can't look for a job. No need to look for a job in Plano, get it then end up moving to Ft. Worth.
I have an ESA dog who is very well mannered, quiet, house broken, knows many commands, doesn't get up on couches, beds, counters, or in the trash. She gets along with most other animals.
I have a vehicle. It runs. Just no insurance at the moment.
I have my best friend with me. Willing to get a job and help me out but they are homeless and broke with me.
We all 3 will happily share a room. We are quiet, keep to ourselves, can cook and clean, etc.
I found an extended stay hotel we can stay at but we need $177 a week(plus tax) or $645+tax a month.
I need to get to a stable secure place so I can get a job and get on medicaid so I can support myself, get on my feet, and work on finding my own place before the baby comes(late march due date).
