Mission Trip to Cambodia

I am raising money to join 25 other friends from local churches on a mission trip to Cambodia, where we will visit 4 orphanages loving on children (72+) and serving them to provide maintenance needed on the homes, build security fences, build and rebuild kitchens, build a big toy for the children to play and have fun with their friends.
For many years I've wanted to be apart of something as special as a missions trip to a third world county, but I always seem to make every excuse in my mind of reason's why I couldn't go: whether that be money, time, or even how I even find out how to get started. This Year I've been given the opportunity to join a team from the Church of Living Water.
I finally made the choose to leave the corporate world of employment last year and with that went the nice pay and plenty of paid time off: The spin cycle of life changes has been for the better I can promise you, its interesting when you remove the things that you thought made you happen to only realize that you are at your happiest with the least in life.
I have always admired how the people in the third world countries, who have nothing but the bare bones of life its self, seem so happy: well i want that, my "why" is simply to serve those children and widows who's life seem to us in america as so hard and without. I plan to be wrecked from the inside out, the lord as stated something in me and I know my next step in life is to go on this mission which will start a blazing fire waiting to burn inside of me.
I have a goal to one day to fully fund an orphanage myself, i truly believe this experience will change me from within and spark something inside to create a driving force to build business' that will help my dreams come true. Along with this dream I also want to
contribute to methods that reduce homeless situations in our own communities.
Our mission begins on the 29th of January 2014 and for 2 weeks I will be emerged into a new world that will change me into a new man.
