Mr. Meow, The Transgender Cat

A few months back Mr. Meow was not acting like himself. He kept gaining weight, kept running away and hiding, and didn't want to be bothered. Then one night he started meowing like crazy and I could tell he was in pain. After rushing him to the vet it was explained to be that he had developed crystals in his bladder and would have to be catheterized in order to get the blockage out or he would die. Knowing that this would be a huge financial burden for months to come I did the only thing I could, I made sure that he got better!

After two hospitalizations, three blockage removals, and one surgery later, Mr. Meow is happy and health again. Of course, surgery like this does not come cheap. In layman's terms, Mr. Meow became Miss. Meow, having a perineal urethrostomy. He is not production wise a female, but his surgery was to make his anatomy that of a females because this issue does not occur in them.

After all was said and done, I was elated that Meow was okay and that he would not have this problem again, however, my bank account did not feel the love. To date, I have paid over 2500 dollars in his medical bills, and I still have $3000 more to go. I am a prideful person, but this experience shook me to my core and made me realize the important things in life, humility was a huge lesson learned.

That is why I know reach out to my friends, it has not been easy making these payments and has pretty much wiped out any savings that I had. I am hoping that through the generosity of friends, and friends of friends, and their friends, that I might be able to raise enough money to help me with the remaining medical bills. I do not want money for what I have already paid, I just need help with the remaining balance. Any little bit helps.
