Fund-Racer for Zack McLeod

Donation protected
There is no one more Spartan than Zack McLeod. As a athlete, he was totally committed to his sport - one that eventually resulted in a life-changing injury. As a man, he continues to be a source of constant inspiration and motivation for me and for others. I can't imagine a better cause to support than his recovery.

That is why, on the 5th Anniversary of Zack's brain trauma accident, I am dedicating the final two events of my obstacle course racing season to Zack, and hope to make him proud this Saturday and on September 21st during the World Championships in Killington, VT.

But this really isn't about me, it's about all of you. Zack turned 22 on Saturday (9/7) and is now facing a considerable drop in his access to federal funding. There is no shortage of things that money is needed to help fund at this juncture. Your donation will go directly to where it is needed most, including crucial costs such as PT, OT and speech therapy.

I understand many of Zack's friends are still in college, and some of you may not be able to give large amounts of money. That's fine. Please understand that every penny you give puts him in a better situation. Even a donation of $5 will go a long way. Think of it as buying Zack a cup of coffee to say thank you.

This is my way of trying to help Zack and his family, but it is just a small piece of the puzzle - there are other gifts Zack still needs. If you are unable to give money at this time, I encourage you to find your own way to give back. In some ways, a donation of your time is even more valuable - Zack is becoming more and more isolated as his friends move forward. If you are in town, get in touch with me and I will help coordinate a visit.

The primary goal of this campaign is to make sure that Zack is remembered. How has Zack had an impact on your life?

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Greg Faxon
