This is Pat Georgi, Matt's mom. Just a few more days to donate through GoFundMe as I need to close the account. Your response has been heartwarming, Matt has so many friends who are willing to honor him in this way. If you truly want to help a Vet, this is one way to do it! Those of you who need a few days (or the first of the month), I will leave the page open until the weekend. It is our desire to present the check to the Rutgers Vet community at their Veteran's Day picnic (Nov 8). Thank you all!
Wow we're just about $1000 away from the final goal!!! And 18 miles to run of course... Please help ou any bit you can, if you've already contributed, that's awesome, if you can't that's fine, share the link and tell a friend about this great cause! Thanks so much everyone!
We're well over half way! Tell family and friends let's keep going folks! Thank you all so very much for getting even this far! Let's get to $2500!
It is so great we've already raised $100 in initial efforts please keep sharing the link and spreading the word! I'm not one to really beg and push causes on people but if you can help me with this I'd be forever grateful. Thanks in advance!
Thank you ALL! We reached our goal of over $10,000.00. If you wish to contribute to the Vet Fund, please do so directly at Rutgers Office of Veterans Programs, 14 Lafayette Street, New Brunswick, NJ. 08901 Again, thanks! And, mention Matt's name...
Hello, I'm Matthew Georgi, a recent graduate of Rutgers University, and a veteran of the United States Army. While attending Rutgers, I used my GI Bill to cover tuition and books, but the GI Bill doesn't cover everything, sometimes emergencies come up and veterans going to college need financial help in these trying times. Donating to the Rutgers Veteran Emergency Grant & Scholarship Fund
will ensure that student veterans can get that help when times get tough. All proceeds will benefit student veterans attending Rutgers University. Please help those who have done their best to defend their country in times of need, and now are bettering themselves by gaining a degree from Rutgers.
This October 13th I will be running the 41st Annual 18 Mile Run on Long Beach Island
, and this year I'm running for a reason, my fellow veterans and Rutgers Students. Any donations will help this great group of people, recommended donations are:
(edit... I'm not a smart man... my math was wrong...)
$1.25 a mile (total $22.50)
$2.50 a mile (total $45)
$5 a mile (total $90)
donations will be greatly appreciated and go to a great cause, and help veterans in particular times of need. Thank you all so much and wish me luck!
