On August 3, 2013 Sherice Baker and her son, Shykeme, were tragically killed in a car accident. Sherice and her family had just moved from Maryland to Texas for a fresh start and new opportunities. She leaves behind 6 children and 4 grandchildren.

The family has returned to the support of family and friends in Maryland, but Sherice and Shykeme's bodies are still in a funeral home in Texas. This delay is causing the family unimaginable pain and grief.

Their community is helping them in every way we can. We have been unable to set up a bank account to receive donations because the TX funeral home will not release the certified death certificates without full payment and release of the bodies. We have contacted non-profit groups and county agencies, but are unable to provide a means of donating that is tax-deductible.
