Jessica's fund for college
Hello and welcome to my page. My name is Jessica and I haven't had a lot of opportunities in my life. I had problems with my schooling since I was a child because of difficulties in my life and I was raised in a single parent low-income household. My father died when I was a baby and because we didn't have much, I was not able to actually attend college because the financial aid process limited me until the age of 24.
My grandmother's wish was for me to attend college. She died of cancer in 2011 when I was 24. I was finally able to attend after she passed, but not without great difficulty. I live by myself and I have to pay my bills all by myself. I have a job that I've held for about two years, however, it is a server position and isn't financial stable, so we have dry periods. It is because of this reason recently that I have struggled so much, just even to pay rent.
I applied for school this semester, but they want me to pay upfront, more than half the cost of my classes. (First payment would be half the costs of my classes.) I cannot afford this, at this time. Since I have no family or friends to fall back on, I have a financial strain that would make it unable for me to attend college.
I really probably need only 500 to help with paying for these classes in the next 3 days. But, I also need some for living expenses and other class expenses, which is why I have the goal set to a higher number.. (I don't expect to make 3,000!) It would help me if you could donate to my fund to help me continue. Thank you for the support.
