Madison & Morgan-Judo Training in Japan

Donation protected
Please help Madi and Morgan get to Japan this December for an amazing opportunity to train with international judoka and to compete in Sanix, an international youth judo tournament and camp taking place in Fukuoka. This is a rare chance for the girls to train with other kids their age from various countries around the world. Madi is 16 years old and is too old to do the competition portion as it is just for middle school aged kids, but she will be participating in the camp and supporting her little sister, Morgan, who is 14, as she competes. The girls have been doing judo for over 7 years now and have travelled the Midwest competing in judo tournaments, participating in seminars and making great friends along the way. They also assist in helping teach younger judoka at their dojo. Due to there being a limited number of female judoka, they usually end up being each other's uke and sometime's even competing against each other at smaller tournaments! Big sister has always won in the past but little sister's day is coming. When asked how she would react when that day comes, Madi replies that she would be ecstatic for her little sister and the first to offer her a big hug! They compete in national tournaments as well, such as Jr. Nationals and Scholastics, when we are able to send them, and usually do very well. Madi had ACL surgery on her left knee just over a year ago and is ready to get back in the game! Her strength and resolve is amazing and reflects her love of judo. Morgan simply enjoys the fight and is constantly trying to improve her technique. They are two peas in a pod, where one goes, the other must follow. They are the best of friends and support each other wholeheartedly. Their goal is to increase knowledge and participation in judo and making it a more popular sport in the US, not just for girls but for all those considering a sport in school or just for fun. Judo has taught them discipline and determination as well as humility and empathy for others. Please help them reach their goal and send them to Japan! Any and all support would be greatly appreciated! Please like and share!
