Help Improve Focus for 3rd Graders

Hello All!
I am a 3rd grader teacher, in a suburb of Detroit, MI. I have taught for over 10 years. During my time in the classroom, I have witnessed students struggling to "sit-still" and "focus" during seat-work. A few years back, I introduced stability (exercise) balls as a chair replacement for my students. The balls allowed the students movement while learning throughout the day. They no longer had to fight the urge to sit completely still, and were be able to move and focus all at the same time!
Research shows that while we sit on an exercise ball, our body has to make continuous muscular adjustments, which keep us attentive. Sitting on a ball makes a student sit up straight, which increases blood flow to the brain and all parts of the body.
In recent years, I have had a set of 8-10 exercise balls to share among the students. Students loved when their names were drawn for their turn on the ball. Most of the balls have been significantly worn down and need to be replaced.
I am hoping to fund a classroom set (28-30 balls) by the start of the school year. The average cost of an exercise ball is $15-$20 for high quality, durable brands.
You can email me with any questions you may have at: [email redacted]
Thank you in advance for your support!
