Missy was recently rescued after being neglected and then abandoned by her owners. Because of their neglect, she now desperately needs surgery to remove a tumor on her leg or she may lose the ability to walk.
When Missy was dumped in our yard after her owners spend off in the middle of the night, she was in poor shape. She was malnourished, emaciated, and covered in sores, scratches, and scars, and had multiple treatable infections. When Lisa heard about Missy's condition, she stepped up and took her in, spending hundreds on treatment for her in the process. Now Missy requires surgery to ensure she continues to heal, and Lisa needs help.
Recently, Lisa fractured her heel and may now need surgery herself. A week later, we learned Missy has a tumor on her leg that needs to be removed or she may lose the ability to walk. Her vet estimated the surgery to cost $1300.00. With follow-up care, the total is nearly $2000.00.
