Fernando's Fight
On Sunday 8/4/13 Fernando was in a terrible motorcycle accident where he was hit by a careless driver who failed to stop when she should have.
Fernando was med flighted to MGH in Boston where he remains in the ICU still on a ventilator. His extensive injuries include a broken clavicle, wrist, pelvic bone, so many cuts and scrapes, and the most detrimental a severe Diffuse Axonal Injury "D.A.I" this word means a very bad brain injury.
I am sad to say that there is no certainty of his recovery, and the long term effects of his injuries. Although we remain hopeful, we must not ignore that this will be a life changing accident that has happened to Fernando.
I am starting a fund for him, as we all know that bills pile up, employment status changes, all the financial devastation that can happen most likely will.
