Ilana Goes Places and Learns Important Things!

Hi everybody! My name is Ilana and I'm a junior at Hollins University. This upcoming fall semester I have been given a chance to study abroad. However, as of right now, my home situation is such that I have been labeled as "homeless or in danger of being homeless" which makes securing funds for my education even more difficult, as I have to do everything solely on my own. I'd really love a chance to explore during my study abroad two things I am passionate about--theater, and Holocaust education. At Hollins Abroad, we can take an amazing London Stage course that allows us to view the best plays London has to offer. However, I don't have the extra 550 dollars needed for the class and can't afford to take out more loan money. Additionally, I have been given an opportunity to travel to Poland after my semester, to visit the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp. Ever since I was nine years old, I have wanted to visit Auschwitz and have never been given the chance. I have devoted my life to Holocaust education, and helping raise awareness of the Holocaust and other human rights violations through my work at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. If anyone can help me fulfill a dream of eleven years, and help towards a chance at future Holocaust education, please help me out! Thank you so much.
