It's so exciting to think that in a little over a month I will be competing for Mrs. Idaho America. I feel like I've grown so much from this experience in confidence. I'm grateful for all the wonderful women I've meet and for all the support I family and friends.
By standing for what you believe in and not letting it be changed by peer pressure or style you will be an example to everyone. Believe in yourself and you can do many great things!
Here is an update for the Mrs. Idaho pageant, CRAZINESS! It's been so crazy trying to get sponsors, paperwork, of course outfits, and feeling my self stretch with new dances, practicing possible interview questions and everything else involved with being in a beauty pageant. But its been so much fun meeting amazing women and getting to know them!
I'm almost half way to my goal thanks to so many wonderful sponsors! Thank you all for your support for our family. By doing this pageant I have learned that its ok to have an opinion and share it. It may not be the opinion of someone else but it's still important.
I'm very excited about this weekend! It's a workshop in Boise for the pageant to learn the opening number (stop laughing at the thought of me dancing!), mock interview questions and learning how to walk correctly in high heels and poses:-) The best of all meet all the great ladies that are part of the pageant! Thanks for all your help in making this learning experience happen.
So important to be good examples to your children and all those you interact with! Beings part of the Mrs. Idaho America pageant is giving women an opportunity to stand up for what they believe in! Your donations can help educate about eating disorders.
I need your help in doing the Mrs. Idaho America Pageant! I want to help women and girls see the importance of being happy and confident in who they are. As women we are given examples of what the world wants us to be when in reality we should first seek what The Lord wants us to be. By doing this we will understand who we are and that we are beautiful women inside and out in every shape and size! Please donate and show your support in a great cause.
For me the opportunity to become better, progress and grow is what life is all about. As such running for Mrs. Idaho pushes me completely out of my comfort zone. The reality in running for Mrs. Idaho isn't just for me, but it's also for those that suffer from the debilitating disease Anorexia and Bulimia. I have someone close to me that is controlled by this disease. I have often wondered what I can do to help others that struggle to move past something so controlling. This is where Mrs. Idaho comes into play for me. I want to use this opportunity to not only become better and overcome my fears of being in the spotlight, but also help those that suffer from eating disorders.
As such, your sponsorship and donations will not only go towards helping me push out of my comfort zone and become better with something I feel inadequate for, but it will also help those that suffer from a disease that most of us will never understand. My goal is raise $5,000 for the Mrs. Idaho pageant, some of this money will help me to run for Mrs. Idaho, but also, it will be used as a donation to help those that suffer from Anorexia and Bulimia. Thank you so much for your support and helping me and others overcome our own fears and challenges. I look forward to representing you and hopefully the State of Idaho!
Autumn, enjoy every minute of this event in your life, even if you are out of your comfort zone! You are an amazing person and are definitely a winner in our eyes. We are so glad to know you.
Love, Kent and Sandy Nickell
