Erin Leary's Spinal Injury Fund

Six years ago my 31 year old daughter, Erin, was hit by a motorcycle that ran a stop sign as she was walking across the street. She has multiple disks in her neck, mid and lower back that are damaged and cause her incredible pain. 2 years ago the medication she was taking for her injuries made her develop gastroporesis, a condition which damaged the nerves of her stomach so that she could not digest her food causing incredible weight loss, nausea, and vomiting. I almost lost her. She has been unable to work since that time and she had to move back home so that her father and I could take care of her. We have just recently found a doctor willing to do surgery on her neck and back where the disk is pressing into her spinal cord. If we can relieve her pain and reduce her medication the gastroporesis will likely go into remission so that she would be able to go back to work. Unfortunately we do not have the funds to cover the cost of the operation. We need to raise approximately $50,000 for the repair of the damaged disks that are causing the majority of her pain. My daughter went from a bright happy University of Florida graduate to a disabled young lady living at home relying on her parents with no hope for ever living independently. Please help give her her life back.
