The Family of Elyria Police Officer J. Sulin #290 needs your help. Officers and Families of loved ones in Law Enforcement, We the Officers of the Elyria Police Department are looking for resources to assist the Sulin Family. With great regret, we have lost a member of our family.
Ptlm. Sulin was a lateral hire from Dalton PD this past spring. During his hiring process, he was diagnosed with cancer. Ptlm. Sulin was determined, and driven to pass our PT test during his chemo treatments. By true dedication, he passed the test with great success. Prior to him being diagnosed, Chrissy, his lovely wife, became pregnant and together they were expecting their first child.
The Sulin’s gave birth to a baby boy named Joey, another member or our Law Enforcement Family. Sulin, proud of their success of having a child, was equally as proud to wearing the EPD uniform. He was dedicated and committed to helping people, and serving the community of Elyria.
In today’s society, and the great unknown, Sulin would be the first to run in to harm’s way to help someone in need. Sulin had the same compassion as all of us, in regards to entering a combat zone for the safety of others.
Unfortunately, Joe was hit with an extremely aggressive form of cancer. It grew very fast and there was nothing anyone could have done to stop it or even slow it down. Joe was taken from us way too soon, but not before he was able to meet the love of his life, have a wonderful son, and become an Elyria Police Officer.
As members of the Elyria Police Department, Officer Weber #328 and myself Officer Webber #323 (not a typo) are reaching out to our friends and families for this. This site was created for a Husband, Father, Friend and last but not least, A POLICE OFFICER. Please help us, help the Sulin Family.
The remainder of the funds will go in go a Trust Fund for Joseph James Taylor Sulin Jr.
