James A Nicholson Heart ICD Fund

This is James Nicholson and he is 17 years old Junior at Trinity High School

in Euless, Texas. He plays bass five for pep rallies and is in front enesemble for the competitive marching aspect for the Trinity Trojan Marching Band.

On Friday, January 27, 2017, Trinity's drumline was walking through the halls getting everyone pumped up for the multicultural rally, when the unthinkable happened, James collapsed. His heart stopped beating. Two young ladies were walking down the stairwell when they spotted him on the floor. They felt like something told them that they should go this way. These two ladies are taking nursing there at the school. So they knew to roll him to his side and keep his airway clear.  Another band student who saw James laying there immediately ran for the school nurse. As the nurse ran she felt a wave of calm go through her as if God was working through her. The nurse immediately started CPR and called for an AED. One of the girls called 911 and an ambulance was dispatched. Once the AED came, they all worked calmly together to get all the patches on his body. The defibrillator was deployed and a jolt was administered. His heart was beating but not very well. The paramedics arrived and he was rushed to the nearest hospital by ambulance. Once he was stabilized, they transferred him by ambulance to Cooks Children's Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. He was taken to the PICU. James did not wake until later that night. Once he began to wake he was saying random words. As he became more verbal, I realized that the words he was repeating were actually bible verses. (James later said that he actually didn't know any bible verses by heart). I feel that God was still working through him. Because he's had to be shocked, he is having some trouble with his short term memory. It's getting a little better everyday.

This account was set up to help off set the medical expenses, post surgical visits,  etc.
