The SPCA in Happy Valley-Goose Bay gives a whole new meaning to the word
'dedicated'. I have been following their story for five years now,
since the day I adopted my own dog from there.
The folks at this SPCA go above and beyond to save the lives of animals. They go beyond their means all the time to make sure a litter of pups doesn't have to be euthanized, to make sure a dog/cat doesn't have to stay out in the cold, to make sure animals in Labrador don't have to suffer, homeless. Every story is a touching one, no animal is left behind if they can help it.
One thing i've noticed is that this shelter is not of a large size. they frequently need fosters for animals, as they can not hold them, and are often at maximum capacity. They recently rescued dozens of dogs from Sheshatshiu and transported 55 dogs to shelters in Halifax, NS.
This is a shelter that does so much for homeless, mistreated, and unloved animals, but doesn't have the capacity to do everything they may want to. They deserve upgrades and a helping hand. They really need a bigger, better building. They get litters of puppies in constantly and they deserve to be prepared for it, for all the good they do.
These are kind, dedicated folks, and they deserve this money. I am hoping to raise enough to present them with something they can use to benefit their shelter and the animals who will reside in it. Please join me in helping the hundreds, if not thousands, of animals that will pass through this shelter, by giving them the money they need and deserve.
Thank you in advance, for every penny earned will go to food, bedding, emergency surgeries and vet bills, supplies, and however the shelter sees fit to spend it. I have set a large goal because the more we get the more we can help this shelter and these animals. I know they will be thankful for any amount they receive.
