Saving Up for Monica Memorial Orphanage

Donation protected
Donations are welcomed and greatly appreciated at this small orphanage/rehabilitation center for underpriveleged children in the Kenyan city of Naivasha.
These children come from extremely impoverished backgrounds, with families that are unable to properly support, care and educate them. Unfortunately, some of these children suffer from abuse, child neglect, and illnesses with a few HIV positive children. They are in dire need of funding to better their living circumstances with hopes of being later accepted into government schools where they can recieve a formal education.

This family-run orphanage was founded by an admirable gentleman, Daniel Naugi, who is now retired and uses his pension to support the daily operational costs of the orphanage. For this family, the struggle to feed and teach these children is an everyday battle.

The children recieve porridge and lunch, but the orphanage isn't able to provide the children with all the necessary vitamins and protein vital to their growth and development.

Porridge- (boiled water, flour, sugar)
Lunch- ugali (boiled water, flour) and kale/cabbage

Anyday the children are able to be provided with meat or fruit is considered to be a rare and very special occasion.

Having a spent almost 5 weeks among these children and working alongside the employees, this experience has left me feeling very blessed and wanting to give back. I was left completely dumbfounded by how loving and joyful these children are despite how they live. No matter what may happen in their home or their surroundings they always manage to have an ear-to-ear smile and are willing to love and embrace any newcomer. I can't say enough how much these children mean to me after these 5 short weeks, I can easily say they have helped me grow as a person more than I have helped them. I am in debt to their endless love and wish to make any positive adjustments to their life.

Please donate, any contribution will greatly make a difference, no matter how small!
