My name is Morgan and I'm married to a wonderful woman and this request is for her. Let me first tell you my wife suffers from M.S.
M.S. shows no outward symptoms as it attacks the nervous system. So for a blessed short time she is able to do all the things she loves.
Until, it attacks, and when it does it comes out of nowhere and after each relapse a part of her is lost that she will never get back. What makes this so hard is watching someone you love slowly fade away one relapse at a time and know there is nothing you can do.
These M.S. relapses are triggered by things we don't even think about, a change in temperature a loud noise or even simple stress,. Those with M.S. have a hard time dealing with these common everyday issues. Any one of this things can trigger a relapse attack. Each one can be completely different. One attack might cause her to have an uncontrollable spasm or even suffer partial paralysis in an extremity or over the whole body. Another could make it hard for her to speak or to babble incoherently. The worst part is that it comes without any warning.
As her husband it’s my place to take care of her, provide for her and make her life as comfortable as I can. Sadly, I have to admit that I can't do this alone. I’ve been working 2 jobs hoping it would be enough but it is only adding to her stress as I’m never home anymore. It’s very hard for me to ask for help, but for her, I’m willing to try.
I'm praying to raise some money to pay off her medical expenses and medications. I can only hope this relieves some of the stress she has and with less stress I’m hoping it will help her quality of life.
