The Mahaffy's would like me to share this with all of you : Hello! I would just like to extend my gratitude to everyone who has helped us out during this time of need. It is so appreciated and wonderful to have the communities support as well as our family and friends. Although we haven't lived in Goodrich very long, it is an amazing community and I am so proud to be a part of it. You all have been so generous to myself and my family. I feel very blessed and undeserving of all that has been received. So, a big THANK YOU to all of you. I would also like to give a special thank you to our dear friends, Robby and Jen Slaght. What you guys have done for Tom and I and our children is unbelievable. Words will never be enough, I could never explain how much you guys mean to us. We appreciate you guys so much and thanks a lot for everything. God Bless all of you and your families. With Love; Tom, Ashlee, Grace, JJ and Olivia Mahaffy.

There isn't much to update everyone on at this point for Hope for the Mafaffy's. We will be collecting money donations via the website until Sunday evening. If you have money, check, gift cards you'd like to still give we are still accepting as well. I have made a call to Bryan at The Point Church and left a message, I'm sure I'll be hearing from him soon. Not exactly sure on what day the professionals will be starting clean up. As of right now The Mahaffy's are trying to pick up all donations at all locations and sort through everything!!! This is kind of a long process and extend family has been helping as well. Again everything that was given abundance of will be re-donated. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far and prayed for this family

There is a church in Goodrich called The Point that is accepting donations to help the families in the Beecher (MI) area that were affected by the same tornado as the Mahaffeys. Please contact them at (810) 636-7775 for drop-off times.

I have a trunk full of clothing I wanted to donated and intended to tomorrow morning at the Baldwin location. Is there somewhere else I can take the clothing to now that the Baldwin location is no longer taking donations? I'd rather it go directly to the Mahaffy family or any other families directly impacted by the tornado versus going to Goodwill. Thanks!

Are any other locations accepting donations through this weekend? I have a large amount of things to donate (mostly clothes, food, and household items), but am out of town until Sunday morning, when I can bring them to the Ortonville/Goodrich area.

Hey everyone!!! After meeting with The Mahaffy's and looking over the property and damage we have decide we are going to leave the clean up of the house to the professionals due to avoid potential injuries to volunteers. We are all extremely moved by all of the people who were willing to donate so much time and even food for the clean up efforts!!! Also we have had an ABUNDANCE of charitable items donated and are soooo appreciative of them, however tonight will be the last and final day for donations at the Baldwin residence. We will be however still accepting money donation via this website until Sunday night :) On befall of the Mahaffy family They thank you all from the bottom of their hearts for EVERYTHING you have done and continue to do :)

Amy we are accepting everything... any abundance of certain items will be re donated to the communities and low income families, bring what youd like and if Tom and Ashlee can't use it we WILL find a family that can! As far as food for clean up I will accept at the Baldwin location or you can drop them off directly the site it's self :)

If you haven't already please find "Hope for the Mahaffy's" on Facebook. This will be the fastest way for you to find out times for clean up, where to donate and other ways to be involved!!

Jen, I sent you an email via this page but I thought I'd post here too...is there any need for formula for the baby? Or bottles or sippy cups? Also, if clean up is to be started Sunday am, where would be the best place to drop off some bottled water and granola bars/snacks (Sam's club size)?
