Give a baby a choice to live

Here is a picture of my uncle's 4-month old baby son, Kub Yaj, who is Hmong and suffers from a serious undiagnosed chronic lung disease since birth. He was born at home in a small village in Laos, a poor third world country, on January 8, 2013. Doctors in Bokeo, Laos have given up hope and have stated that they do not have the needed expertise and medical diagnostic and treatment equipment to know what has caused the lungs to swell or how to properly treat him and attempt to save his life. The doctors have stated that the only hope for Kub Yaj is for him to be taken to a larger hospital with better equipment and specialists, such as one in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
The parents of Kub are farmers who make very little money and have no other sources of income. The baby is very weak and cannot move his neck, arms, and legs. His stomach grows bigger each day. They have tried praying and anything else they could do to help. Recently they contacted my mother here in Minnesota, because they do not know what else to do or where else to turn. We are the only relatives they have in the United States.
We are trying our very best as family to help raise money to send this baby to the hospital in Chiang Mai. We would be grateful to anyone who, out of kindness and compassion, will contribute to help save Kub's life.
