Seneca, Choices for Life-Ultrasound

Seneca is a recently founded crisis pregnancy center in Columbus, Georgia. The unique factor about Seneca is that it is located RIGHT NEXT DOOR to the only abortion facility in the area. They share a parking lot entrance and an alley. What better place is there to give the support that these women so desperately need and to fight one of the largest struggles of society today?
Current needs - Seneca was graciously donated an ultrasound machine in 2016. But due to accreditation standards, ultrasounds have to be read by a doctor within 24 hours. The age and technological interface of the current machine make this impossible. In addition maintenance costs will exceed $10k annually. Thus Seneca cannot perform ultrasounds without a significant update. Encouraging people to choose life will happen a great deal more when Seneca can show them a baby picture with the ultrasound machine.
Seneca is currently following 20 clients who have chosen life. This is since opening their doors on May 22. They have also had many post abortive clients going through a healing Bible study, and have been able to minister to over 100 men and women. These are people that they are able to meet and connect with because they are onsite.
Seneca performs invaluable service to women contemplating abortion to help them choose life. Some of their services include:
- Immediate need assistance
o Counseling
o Prenatal/Postnatal education
o Assistance with obtaining maternal/fetal healthcare
o Pregnancy/new parent support group
- Long term assistance
o Parenting classes
o Marriage counseling
o Daycare placement
o Job placement assistance
o NFP classes
Seneca also provides post-abortive healing support.
