The Big Bend community is uniting in solidarity with the Standing Rock Sioux to fight a mutual enemy: Energy Transfer Partners.

Energy Transfer Partners (ETP) has commenced the construction of two large pipelines, TPPL and DAPL, that endanger the water, lives, and environment of the people of North Dakota and West Texas. ETP's 143-mile Trans Pecos Pipeline will pump 1.5 billion cubic ft of high pressure highly explosive methane gas through some of the most pristine, biodiverse land in Texas to cross the Rio Grande directly above an aquifer that serves the Presidio community; thereby, putting their water supply at risk.

Simultaneously, ETP is constructing DAPL, a 1,134-mile pipeline that will cross the Missouri River to transport crude oil from the Bakken Oil Fields. If and when DAPL fails, crude oil will contaminate the water of the Standing Rock Sioux and millions of others. The Sioux are standing their ground in the face of ETP's wealth and power, and WE STAND WITH THEM!

DAPL and TPPL put the water, land, air, and species of the communities in North Dakota and Texas in unacceptable risk.

It is not a matter of IF the pipeline explodes but a matter of WHEN. We, the people, have the right to say NO to threats to our welfare and environment.

Please help us STOP DAPL and TPPL!

Your donations help offset the costs of organizing this powerful solidarity event as well as the  travel costs of the many organizations coming to participate. Monies beyond these costs will be donated to Standing Rock.

We are BETTER TOGETHER.

PLEASE DONATE  TODAY!

We cannot express how grateful we are for your support and show of solidarity!
