WHO WE ARE
For the past 20 years, the Canadian Youth Mission to Armenia has been sending young volunteers halfway across the world to help the developing communities in the beautiful Eurasian country. Since 1993, the well respected non-profit organization has helped nearly 800 volunteers, aged between 18 and 29 years old, embark on a life-changing humanitarian trip. C.Y.M.A. depends solely on donations to fund the trips each year. Local efforts are made in regions such as Montreal, Laval, Toronto, Mississauga, St-Catharine, Ottawa, Hamilton, Calgary and Vancouver. These fundraisers include lotteries, concerts, banquets, car wash, sporting events etc.

OUR MISSION
This year, participants will be staying in a small village named Geghadir in the Kotayk region. It´s located 30 minutes east of the capital, Yerevan. Our mission is to renovate the school attended by kids aged 6 to 18. The school was built in the 1970´s during a time when the country was under communist rule. Due to the lack of proper materials during construction, the school has been quickly deteriorating over the past few years.
WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP!
The efforts put in by local volunteers make up only a minor part in reaching our objective. Our goal for this year´s mission is to renovate the school. Our focus is on rebuilding the gymnasium and the bathrooms. Your donation will be used to buy tools & materials necessary for this renovation. It will also be used to buy school supplies for the students. The more money we raise, the effective our project becomes and the more kids we can help.
