Keith Nygaard was an incredible musician that brought so much joy to this world. At a young age he inspired hundreds of young marching musicians to follow their dreams and go big.
As a member of the Doherty High School marching band he lead young new musicians in the art of marching music. He continued his passion when auditioned for the Blue Knights Percussion Ensemble, a world class performing arts ensemble that competes every year against other high caliber musicians. His passion doesn't stop there; Keith shared his expertise while on the staff for Rise Percussion as the Rhythm Section Tech. His knowledge and attention to detail helped Rise Percussion make their first journey to WGI Sport of the Arts Championships last year. At the same time, Keith was attending the Colorado School of Mines, majoring in Electrical Engineering and receiving a minor in computer science.
In an attempt to help the family of a most terrific young man, the members of the Doherty High School Marching band, the Blue Knights Percussion Ensemble and Rise Percussion are asking for donations to help pay for funeral costs and fund scholarships in Keith's name to help his legacy of live on eternally. Thank you.
