My name is Mike Machado, father of Melanie Reed (Machado). I am establishing this memorial fund to help our family with funeral and travel expenses that we will incur due the the sudden and unexpected death of my beloved daughter and my best friend Melanie. She passed yesterday morning at my home. Melanie was disabled and did not have life insurance. All donations will be used solely for the expenses of her funeral services and other associated costs, as well as in assisting close family members with travel expenses to attend these services. I will be planning her funeral services within the next day or two. Any donations, as little as one dollar, will be greatly appreciated. 

I lost my beloved daughter Melanie Reed yesterday morning suddenly and unexpectedly. She passed while at home with me sometime during the early morning hours.


For those of you who were blessed to have known Melanie, my heartfelt condolences go out to you. As you all know, Melanie was the most caring, compassionate person ever. She was your best friend, your confidant, a young woman who always put her feelings aside and put your feelings to the forefront. She was always there in your time of need and helped countless people throughout her life.
She loved animals to a fault, she loved life to its fullest, and could always bring a smile to everyone's face that she ever met. She made us laugh, and she had a unique way of making us forget our own problems. She was always there to comfort her friends and family.
I am devastated by her loss.I miss her terribly so much already. I not only lost my daughter....I lost my best friend ever. But I will survive, I will have her with me always, pushing me to be the best man that I can possibly be, because that is what she would want. That is what would make her happy.
And I will not let her down.
