Sueann's Medical Coverage Expenses

This campaign was started by some friends and coworkers of Sueann. Whether we know her through work or from outside of work we all know Sueanns no nonsense attitude and her love for life.
Unfortunately, two years ago Sueann was the victim of a horrific workplace accident. Sueann was pinned between two forklifts while carrying out her normal duties as a Forklift driver and shipper. Since this accident, Sueann has been unable to work and has been in and out of multiple hospitals just trying to regain some level of normalcy in her life. The accident left her unable to walk and with a permanent spinal cord injury. Sueann has spent the last two years having to learn how to walk again. Her mobility is still very limited however and she still requires assistance with the most basic of daily functions like showering and simple house work. She has caregiving 5 times a week to help her with these tasks.
Due to the spinal cord damage suffered in the accident Sueann also developed Neurogenic Bladder Disorder causing her to have no sensation in the nerves of her bladder. This has caused her to need to be catheterized 6 times a day to drain her bladder as well as requiring a nurse to come to her home several times a week to help her with this most basic of human functions.
On top of all these personal struggles that Sueann is faced with every day, her common law husband with which they share a 12 year old son, has recently been diagnosed with an agressive form of cancer.
Through all of this adversity Sueann still manages to somehow maintain a positive outlook on life and see things the best way she can.
This campaign was specifically started to help with the medical costs associated with her condition. Although she was employed by a company that provided her with a very good benefit plan she is facing being cut off from her extended health coverage through her work. Sueann now receives a small Worksafe BC pension, however, since Sueann is no longer able to return to work she must cover the costs of her medical plan that the company has covered up until these last couple of months. On top of this she is now solely responsible for paying her MSP premiums that cover her son, her husband and herself. The cost of these two coverages is up over $500 per month; a cost Sueann simpy can't afford to cover with her small pension and her husband also being unable to work.
Our goal with this campaign is to hopefully raise enough funds to help cover 2 years worth of MSP and benefit premiums to help alleviate the burden being placed on this family and allow them to work on getting everyone better.
