Support Remote Villages in Nepal -2

So many of you already supported us during our first campaign. - THANK YOU ALL

What happened since then?

- We are now officially registered as a NGO under the name GaauGhar Nepal with the Social Welfare Council in Kathmandu and we have our own logo.
- We finished our first evaluation trip to 3 different remote villages in the East of Nepal.
- We provided 355 villagers with free blood glucose and blood pressure checks.
- We were able to identify  35 diabetes suspects and 93 suspects for hypertension at this time.
- We left diabetes supplies behind to continue follow up checks at the health post.
- We gave 8 free yoga classes including handouts.
- We visited all 3 schools, met the headmaster, spoke in front of some classes about health and waste, organized a waste removal on the school grounds, and handed over stationary.
- And we were able to identify further needs of theses remote villages.
- Our Facebook Page is up and our Website is up.

And now we are planning our follow up visit in February 2017 as our mission needs to continue.

What do we want to achieve this time?

- We want to reach out to 2 more remote villages in the East for evaluation and free health checks.
- We want to bring a mobile lab for free blood work at the village and a specialist for a proper diagnosis and medication as needed.
- We want to leave more diabetes test supplies behind and want to focus on education on prevention and management.
- We want to bring yoga mats, blocks and straps to the villages and continue with the free yoga classes - especially for high blood pressure and diabetes.
- We want to provide the school in Memeng with 2 computers.
- We want to bring some sports equipment to Memeng.
- We want to start setting up libraries with English and Nepali books.
- We want to work with the villagers on solutions for waste management.
...

Please have a look at the website as you can find all the details to all the projects and also our mission as a NGO.

There are now 2 (actually 3) ways you could help:

- As usual please donate any amount of money you are willing to share.
- You could also collect English books for kids (from Kindergarten to Teenager and even older ages) and send them to Nepal (please contact us via Email [email redacted]
- Or you could share the website or this campaign with your family, friends, schools, neighbours, coworkers, .. basically anyone.

Everyone can make a difference in this world. Please continue to support the remote villages in Nepal.
