Many of you know or have recently gotten to know the wonderful and generous person that is Stephanie Smith. We have watched her grow into an amazing photographer who captures the true beauty of the world. Stephanie has shared her generous spirit with so many through free photo sessions for special needs children, collecting and distributing "blessings bags" to the homeless in Baltimore, and putting together a collection to bring school supplies to children in need in Jamaica- where she was going on vacation.
Stephanie recently shared the story of Cori Salchert, a Wisconsin nurse who was recently featured on The Today Show. Cori adopts "hospice babies"- children with special needs whose families are unable to care for them. Over the years, Cori and her family have taken in 7 children and cared for them. Currently, Cori is caring for Charlie, a 2 year old with a life-limiting diagnosis. Intially he was not expected to live to be 2 years old, yet he celebrated his birthday earlier this month! On someones suggestion, Stephanie reached out to Cori to see if she would be interested in having a special needs shoot to allow Cori and her family the opportunity to capture moments with Charlie. His time is very limited, and the doctors do not know how much longer he has.
To Stephanie's surprise, Cori excepted! She has arranged to do a photo shoot with Cori and her family the weekend of July 23-24. Now we need to get Steph out to Wisconsin! Please help Stephanie so she can help The Salchert family! Anything you can donate will be incredible! Stephanie has done so much for so many in our area- let's help her spread her gift to Wisconsin!!
Any amount raised over what Stephanie needs for her trip will be donated directly to the Salchert family.
