My name is Mikayla Dunn, I am a 22 year old athlete from Victoria, Australia. I am on the women’s Australian bobsled team in my second season heading towards 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympic Games. Season 2016/2017 I moved to Canada to train and compete for Australia at Whistler, BC in the North American Cup and also trained day in day out at Calgary Olympic park.

This upcoming season has been budgeted as a very costly price due to it being an Olympic year. This requires more expenses in travelling and competing etc to ensure we are fully prepared for the games. I have managed to save a bit of my own money as well as a sponsorship. However, its still not financially enough to secure my season and take full advantage of the opportunity I have been provided.
This is going to be a life changing experience for myself and my team mates but we need the support of Australia to get us through.
