Russ Guest loved hockey. He knew that the lessons learned on the ice; hard work, perseverance, honesty and teamwork were lessons that carried kids forward into adulthood.
Russ did so much for so many people. As Director of the Bloomington, IL Youth Hockey Association, Russ worked to ensure that kids who couldn't afford it had the funds and equipment needed to play.
When Russ found out that cancer would take him, he decided that he would use his legacy to help fund hockey scholarships for those same kids. His last wish was to make sure that nobody would miss out on the opportunity to play the game he loved so much.
