Climbing Kilimanjaro in Dads Memory

Donation protected
In 2006 my Dad passed away after an eight week battle with cancer, it was three days after my 15th birthday, and this year I turn 25. Ten years on I am ready to commemorate him in the most fitting way possible, walking up a huge mountain.

I will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and raising money for two causes, the RUH Bath Cancer Centre and 'Get Kids Going.'

'Get kids going,' is the charity my dad chose for his funeral donations. They provide disabled children with diverse sporting and outdoor pursuit opportunities, offering incredible experiences to young people that would otherwise not have the chance.

The Royal United Hospital Bath, Cancer Centre, is an amazing new facility that will replace the ward where my father received his treatment. The state of the art building will provide patients and families across the south west with a holistic, healing environment dedicated to making such a difficult time more manageable.

Personally, I've chosen to commit to this challenge for a few reasons.
I really want to create something positive out of an otherwise pretty sad year.
To prove to myself that although at times I have struggled, I can be a stronger person than I realise.
And to keep my fathers memory strong and show the world that Nigel Smith lives on.

This journey means everything to me this year, marking a huge milestone since my dad passed. Please give what you can to help me raise as much money as possible.
