Will Condon's Medical Expenses

Donation protected
On the afternoon of May 27th, Will jumped into his neighborhood pool. The jump was not any different than other jumps that day, yet he sustained what the doctors called complicated whiplash and broke his neck.  The broken neck resulted in damage to Will's spinal cord. After being pulled from the pool and rushed to the ER, he underwent surgery to repair the damage. The emergency surgery went well and Will has been in the ICU since the accident. He is surrounded by his family who came down from NY as soon as they got the news that he was hurt. He will be transferred to the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, Georgia on June 6 which specializes in rehabilitation of spine injuries. His doctors are estimating 6-8 weeks of intensive in-patient therapy follewed by months of out-patient therapy until he recovers. It is one of the top rehab centers in the country and will give him the best chance of getting back to a normal life.

Will is a high school Biology teacher and baseball coach in Charlotte, NC. Will is only 29 years old and will have many medical expenses during his long and intensive recovery. Luckily, his insurance will keep him out of long-term debt. However, he will still incure thousands of dollars of medical expenses and be without his full teaching salary until his recovery. If you have the means, please consider assisting Will financially so he can focus on his recovery.

Please keep Will and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
