Mathieu Science Fair Project: OpenROV
Donation protected
For our only year in high school together, my brother (Nathanael Mathieu) and I (Philip Mathieu) decided to do our science fair project together, and to make it EPIC. We decided to work with the open-source hardware and software project OpenROV: a low-cost submersible that puts underwater exploration in the hands of anyone with the drive to explore. Unfortunately, low-cost in the outside world is still high cost for two teenagers, so we need your help!
Your donation will go directly towards the purchase of materials and supplies that include:
- A Raspberry Pi miniature Linux computer
- A 1080p HD Webcam to stream live video
- Custom electronics to control the system of motors and lights
- Custom acrylic housing pieces
- Rechargable Lithium Ion batteries
- Much, much more!
The total project costs about $600, but between personal investment and donations we've managed to cut that in half.
