Kie Memorial/Scholarship

On August 26, 2015 our beloved son Kie Landon Johnson life was taken from him tragically through a car wreck. While starting his senior year at Eastern Guilford High School at only 17 years old he was looking forward to graduating with the class of 2016 wild cats. Kie loved and cherished his parents Mona Rena and William Johnson, also his sibling Jie Johnson and Monique Johnson. Kie left behind many family and friends. Kie impacted and touched a lot of lives always having kin words, and positive things to say whenever he saw someone down. He loved telling jokes to smile and laugh. Kie wanted to be a comedian wanting to one day become larger than Kevin Hart. Kie had a passion for the elderly and small kids, never wanted them to be mistreated. Kie always tried to reach out and help whoever he could.
On August 26, 2015 Kie excitedly went off to join the class of 2016 for his first week of his senior year. Not knowing what the day had to bring Kie embraced his friends and teacher with his usual happy and witty self. According to his teachers Kie went to class like and ordinary day. After school Kie join friends in the parking lot for laughter and fun and proceeded to go home. Kie joined 4 other friends on the ride home. Unfortunately during the drive home, they were involved in a head on collision with a school bus that killed Kie and injured 4 other friends. My life has not been the same since that day. I cannot describe the pain that my family and I feels on a daily bases. We miss him dearly. I am asking that you help us establish a memorial which includes a marker and other expenses associated with his death. I also would like to start a scholarship fund in his honor to help a student with college expenses graduating in the class of 2016. Anything will be greatly appreciated. Again thank you the family !
