2 SURVIVORS CYCLE BILBAO 2 ROSCOFF.
Richard 'Wallace' Bartlett and Gil 'Gromit' Gill are both members of the Teign Valley Pedal Bashers Cycling group (all their members are given unusual group names!). We have been friends for around 40 years and we got cancer within a year of each other! We have now got over our chemotherapy sessions and are keen to raise some money for the charities mentioned below. Richard will be 80 and Gil nearly 78 by the start of the trip, so completing the 800mile ride on normal bikes, carrying all our equipment and sleeping in tents, will be quite an achievement thus we encourage you to be generous with your donations to our three deserving charities.
Using 'GoFundMe' we are raising money for the following charities:
1. Prostate Cancer UK
2. The Ricky Grant Unit, Torbay Hospital (their chemotherapy unit)
3. Muscular Dystrophy UK.
We plan to run a blog during the trip (check out 'Bilbao2Roscoff' on Facebook), which starts on 20th June 2019, to let you know how we are progressing.
