Support For Debbie

Hi friends, welcome to Debbie's Fight.

We are creating this page to help raise any funds for Debbie and the Smith family during this difficult time. Debbie has bravely been battling stage IV breast cancer, which metastasized to her brain, lungs, bones, bone marrow and spine, for 5 years now. She worked full time through a lumpectomy, brain tumor removal, and almost constant chemo and radiation, using only her sick and vacation days...up until this past July, when she was forced to go on disability. She is an amazing woman, wife, mother, grandma, sister, aunt, friend, and a hell of a fighter. She's done everything she could to beat this thing, but cancer doesn't play fair, as everyone unfortunately knows.

Between the cost of her rising insurance premiums, treatments, prescriptions, co-pays, medical supplies, dietary needs, and now with the family trying to come up with money for an out of pocket caregiver to help with her round the clock care...it's become overwhelming. Dennis, her husband, has to continue running his small auto business full time through this extremely difficult time, just to try to make ends meet. He can't even close his shop occasionally to spend all the time with Debbie that he can, because he has to keep money coming in to cover all the extra expenses  =(
