Hello friends, in all the chaos that has been plaguing my recent days I've decided it's time for an update.
The oil is thus far working wonders for me, I'm eating three square meals a day and feeling so good. I have energy and I barely get sick, with the exception of this week when the cold effected me.
I've been making lots of trips out and taking some walks, which have helped with my metabolism and overall health. I'm working on bringing my PH up, but that's been a slow process so far.
I know this update may be short, but I wanted to let you all know how I was doing. There are still some struggles with supplements and food, but for the most part I'm doing excellent and will hopefully get a scan soon to mark my progress.
Thank you all for listening and supporting!
Hello everyone, I thought that perhaps an update was in order.
Through this endeavor, I have managed to amass a large knowledge base. There are treatments I never even new existed for cancer patients, a few of which I'm currently on (oil treatment and LDN).
I would not have been able to reach this point had I not received such wonderful care from everyone here. In short, I'm awesomely lucky to have so many who care about and support me.
Hopefully we're looking forward to some progress this June, my third month of treatment. We'll probably get a scan at that point to check where I am, and with any luck the news will be good!
Good news! I'll begin my treatments after the first week of march, having raised just short of 3,500 dollars!
Thank you all so much for your amazing support and for your help getting to this point, I'll continue to keep you all updated on the progress <3
So it looks like I'll be able to get the first half of my treatment (which is what I'm shooting for first with these donations). The other $1,500 probably isn't too far away, so by the time I'm done with the first half I'll be able to get the second :D
I've been talking to some doctors and they've all said I'm young and they have hope for a recovery. I'm gathering some different treatment information from them so I can cover all the bases. I may even get to visit the University of Virginia to get opinions!
Well, we've made it to $2,000! I never expected this to go so well.
As it turns out, there's a local radio station who found out about the fundraising and they're going to air it soon! I'm a bit fuzzy on the details, but I'll post another update with more information as it happens.
Until then, thank you all so much for your support <3
By the gods. It's been less than 24 hours and we've raised over $1,300! I had a good cry when I saw this, I have so much hope now. I suppose I never really noticed how much of it I had lost.
Thank you all so much for helping me work toward my cure. I'm looking forward to the day when I can post my final update here announcing my recovery! =D
$130 overnight. Words can't express how thankful I am to have such a quick response to my pleas for help. It's encouraging to see such a wonderful start, I'm starting to feel excited that this might actually work! <3
Well, I suppose I should start with an introduction. My name is Abraham Cherrix, but my friends call me Wolf. I live in a small town called Floyd, which is in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.
I'm 22 years old and I have Hodgekin's Disease (a cancer of the lymph system). Some of you may have heard of me, I was fighting for my rights to choose treatment back in 2005 when I was first diagnosed (Google my name for more information on that).
It's been a while since then, and I've had many forms of treatment. Radiation (four times) and chemotherapy (twice) have both been unsuccessful even if they were initially effective. The cancer itself has been in remission six times, and I've somehow managed to keep my body in decent condition by building my strength after every treatment.
Despite keeping positive and fighting for my life, I find myself in the same position yet again. I learned today that the cancer has returned to my left lung, explaining a long series of events leading up to it (coughing up blood, shortness of breath, difficulty sleeping, chest pains etc). Now that it's more aggressive than before, I don't feel like I have much time. I need to act fast and I'm limited with what I can do.
I have some treatment options that I could pursue and things I could do to improve my condition or even help cure me, but they're expensive and not covered by my medical insurance (Medicaid/Medicare). I need supplements to boost my immune system, while seeking out doctors country-wide for different treatments and opinions. I need better food that I can't afford, and I want to move out of my trailer and into a clean house. Most of these costs thousands of dollars alone... and I'm barely able to afford a ride into town for grocery supplies.
There are actually a few specific treatments I'd love to start with. Heated needle therapy is a good start, and something I've been curious about. Studies now are also showing the validity of Hemp Oil as a cure for cancer, so I'm trying to get into one of the research groups. However if I can't get into these groups, the expense will be monumental and certainly not covered by my insurance.
My plans are simple for now. I need to move out of this house, it's too dusty and moldy. I need a small second-hand car to get to my appointments, and then I need gas for it. My income is at $721 a month ($325 goes to my rent, $76 for my electricity, and then whatever is left for food, supplements, house supplies, gas for my mother's car and sometimes even medicine or medical bills which reach into the quadruple digits).
I've never been one to ask for money, instead I'm usually the one giving. Then again, my life has never been threatened too much. I've never felt the fear of death staring me in the face, or the loss of hope pulling me down when I realize that I could have saved my money and had a better chance at surviving. For this reason, I humbly ask for your help. Please give me a chance at life, without financial assistance there's truly nothing I can do but sit back and watch it pass me by.
My name is Abraham Cherrix, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Please feel free to contact me, I'm open to any information you may have about treatment options or research. If you have suggestions, I'd love to hear them.
