Research for my new Twine videogame!

Hi everybody. My name is Richard Goodness. I am a musician (riotfox.bandcamp.com), writer (richardgoodness.wordpress.com

). I'm working on a new Twine videogame called Sam and Leo Go To The Bodega. It is going to be about two guys named Sam and Leo and they are going to the bodega.

It's going to be a great and Personal Story. It will have Themes.


Unfortunately, I've been unemployed since 2011 when my company laid me off as a result of the financial crisis; I've had a horrible time finding a job since and have been bouncing from part-time thing to part-time thing. Right now I have no work and there's nothing in sight. Getting a new job is extremely difficult; I had a major ankle injury which I required surgery for and which has disqualified me from taking a job based around physical labor; I have also struggled with mental health and substance abuse issues, as well as extreme loneliness. I would like to go to my own local bodega to do some research, but money is tight and it's hard for me to buy snacks.


I'm asking for $25, which will be divided in the following ways:


$5 -- Chips
My bodega has an extensive chips selection, from the cheap brands to more elaborate kettle cooked chips. There is even a selection of gourmet popcorn. I would use the $5 to buy one large bag and one snack-size bag.

$5 -- Drinks
Like all good bodegas, mine has a large selection of drinks, from sodas to beers to malt liquors. I would be able to buy one soda and one single beer, or a few bottles of malt liquor.


$5 -- Ice cream
The $5 for the ice cream would buy a single pint of Ben and Jerry's. Because I am not financially irresponsible, I would use the money to buy one of the single-serving Ben and Jerry's containers, as well as an ice cream novelty such as a Chipwich or ice cream sandwich, depending on cost.


$5 -- Cookies
For $5, I can get one sleeve of Oreos as well as several snack cakes, most of which retail for about 50 cents each. (Disclosure: In my bodega, the cookies and snack cakes are in separate sections and so do not technically belong under the same line item. However, the bodega depicted in Sam and Leo Go To The Bodega will combine both sections, and therefore I feel comfortable considering them the same part of research.)


$5 -- Miscellaneous oversight
My bodega has all sorts of kale chips and crackers and other shit and I'll probably be a little intoxed when I go there, so I'm gonna want some extra money.


I really appreciate your generosity and hope you enjoy some of the rewards that I've planned! If I manage to exceed my $25 goal, I might expand the game to include the following sections:


Candy
The front of the counter at my bodega is transparent, showing a bounty of different kinds of candy bars. You need to ask the guy to hand them to you--they're behind glass to avoid theft. I would like to purchase some candy bars.


Vice items
And behind the counter are the vice items--condoms, rolling papers, lighters, Spice, sexual enhancement pills, poppers, tiny bongs, etc. Any excess money would go towards purchases from this section.
